God’s permissive will is never His purposed will and to go or live in permissive will assure that God will not work with us or for us but against us. In God’s permissive will even donkeys see more of God that we do. In God’s permissive will we will listen to the words of donkeys while we turn a deaf ear to God’s Word!
God’s purposeful will never changes as Balaam and King Balak found out. It does not matter how many worship services we attend, we are disobedient until we obey! Notice for Balaam to hear God he had to leave the worship service for God was not there! Could our worship hinder God’s presence and power rather than loosing it???
Three times the donkey saw the Angel of the Lord; three times Balaam and King Balak offered up false worship trying to change the mind and purpose of God forgetting that “He is not human, so He does not change His mind” (23:9)
Zechariah unable to talk since disputing and disbelieving the Word of God, receives a second chance and immediately and specifically obeys; his tongue is freed and the first words from his mouth are in praise of the living God!
Perhaps our mouths are sealed shut and our praise of God is dried up by the sin of disbelief and disobedience
